    Circulation Policies

    Loan Period:
For students, the loan period for most library materials is 14 days. Faculty and staff loans are 30 days. Materials may be renewed in person or by going online and logging into your account on MassCat. Contact library staff if you need your MassCat username and password. An item may be recalled for use by another borrower after the initial 14-day loan period.

    Returns:
The prompt return of library materials is the responsibility of the individual to whom the items are loaned.

    Overdue Notices:
Overdue notices are emailed to borrowers on a daily basis. These are sent as a courtesy. The failure to receive a notice does not absolve the borrower of the responsibility to renew or return library material in a timely manner. We thank you in advance for your cooperation!

    Lost Books
A bill for replacement is sent about 30 days after the date due if the item has not been renewed or returned.

    Confidentiality of Patron Records
Library circulation records – of students and staff members – are also secured and confidentially maintained, pursuant to Massachusetts Law: Clause 26 of Section 7 of Chapter 4.
